Please read through these installation instructions before you begin downloading the Android CEVA SECURE mobile application.

1 - Tap HERE to start your download (make sure you have read through the instructions below before starting your download)

2 - If your device displays a pop-up window with the question shown below, then tap OK (This message is just a warning that some Android devices display because this application isn't hosted on the official Google Play Store)

3 - Once the CEVASECURE.apk file has downloaded, you will need to open it to begin the installation. On some Android devices the file will be displayed at the bottom of the screen. If your device displays the window shown below, then tap the "Open" button (See step 4 if your device shows that the installation was blocked).

If you don't see the window shown above, then swipe down from the top of your screen to reveal the downloaded file. Tap on "CEVASECURE.apk" as shown in the image below (See step 4 if your device shows that the installation was blocked).

4 - Follow the steps below to allow installation of Apps from "unknown sources" on your Android Phone.

Tap "Settings"... "Apps"... "Special App Access"
Note: On Samsung phones you might have to tap on the three-dot icon (upper right corner of screen) for "Special Access"

Tap the "Install unknown apps" option.
Enable the toggle next to the app you will use to install the third-party apps. This is usually a browser or the My Files app. We’re using Chrome for this example.

5 - Tap "Install" as shown below

6 - Tap "Open" as shown below

6 - The application should open and look like the screenshot below. Please note the “Refresh” button. You will need to tap the “Refresh” button within a few seconds of scanning your phone at the security checkpoint. Your device will NOT pass through the checkpoint station until it has been registered by security.

2 - Confirm that you would like to install the CEVA SECURE application by tapping "Install" as shown below

3 - A CEVA SECURE icon will now be on your main/home screen. If you try to open the CEVA SECURE app you will get an error message saying that this application is from an "Untrusted Developer" (shown below).

This is because the app wasn't downloaded from the official Apple App Store. To trust the developer, tap on "Settings" > "General" > "VPN & Device Management" (shown below)

From the Device Management screen tap on “CEVA Logistics Headoffice B.V.” (as shown below)

Tap "Trust CEVA Logistics Headoffice B.V." (as shown below)

Now tap "Trust" (as shown below)

4 - Go to your Home screen and open the CEVA SECURE app. See the screenshot of the CEVA SECURE icon below

5 - The application should open and look like the screenshot below. Please note the “Refresh” button. You will need to tap the “Refresh” button within a few seconds of scanning your phone at the security checkpoint. Your device will NOT pass through the checkpoint station until it has been registered by security.

I just finished installing the CEVA SECURE mobile app. Why does it fail when I scan my QR code at a security checkpoint ?

Anyone can download and install the CEVA SECURE mobile application and try to use it at the device checkpoint station. However, it will not PASS the device checkpoint verification unless a security team member has registered it within the CEVA SECURE system.

My device has the app installed and is registered with security. Why does it still fail when I scan my QR code at a security checkpoint ?

This will happen if you take too long to scan your QR code. You only have a couple of seconds to scan your QR code once you have opened the application. If you wait too long, you can tap the "refresh" button and once again you will only have a couple of seconds to scan your QR code or it will fail the device verification.

If I get my device registered at one CEVA Logistics facility will the registration carry over to all other CEVA Logistics facilities ?

CEVA SECURE doesn’t limit/grant access to just a specific building. A device that is registered within the CEVA SECURE system will have permission to pass through any facility that has an CEVA SECURE checkpoint.

I am concerned about installing a mobile app that isn't from the official Android or Apple store. Where was the CEVA SECURE app created, and what data is it reading from my device ?

CEVA SECURE was entirely developed in-house by CEVA Logistics Software Engineering, Plainfield Indiana. The CEVA SECURE mobile applications were developed using officially licensed Android and Apple developer systems and libraries. The CEVA SECURE mobile app does NOT read your IMEI/MEID or access any other information from your device besides the date/time and a unique ID (which was generated by the CEVA SECURE app itself). The CEVA SECURE mobile app does NOT use any of your cellular or Wi-Fi data.
